Product DescriptionGalvanized Steel Expanded metal sheets are created by slitting and cold-forming mild steel sheet as it expands in a press. This creates diamond-shaped openings that are nominally measured the long way of the diamond (LWD) and the short way of the diamond (SWD) and long way of the opening (LWO) and short way of opening (SWO) . Flat expanded sheets have been rolled for a smooth, level surface which slightly increases the overall thickness of the sheet from the original material thickness. Sheet is then dipped in zinc to create a surface finish that resist rust and corrosion.
Long Way of Opening is running with the longest dimension of the sheet.
